Inclusive Sports: Ten Pin Bowling

At the end of last term, we held an internal Ten-pin bowling competition to identify our best bowlers. Four of our top high school students then had the opportunity to represent Havenlee at the Shoalhaven Inclusive Sports Ten Pin Bowling competition, held at Shoalhaven City Lanes in Bomaderry on Tuesday 11 August. Although our team did not advance to the finals, they performed exceptionally well and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship throughout the event. We are proud to share that Havenlee secured 7th place out of 31 participating schools.

All four students showed strong sportsmanship and supported each other as a team. It was great to see their skills and confidence improve throughout both sessions. Everybody achieved one or more strikes!

Bundanon Art Visit

Havenlee School students were very fortunate to have seven educators/artists from Bundanon visit our school on Wednesday, 26 August to facilitate an engaging art experience in each class. During the session, each student was supported to create a landscape drawing and painting using wax crayon, ink, and watercolour paint.

The educators brought along beautiful landscape photos from Bundanon, inspiring students to first draw a landscape and then place themselves within it through their artwork.

Our visitors had a wonderful time working with our young artists and thoroughly enjoyed seeing their creativity blossom. This program is generously supported by philanthropy funding through Bundanon.

We extend our thanks to the educators and Bundanon for providing this enriching opportunity for our students to experience art in such a meaningful way.
